Michi awoke to the bright shine of sunlight. "I hate sunlight," she mumbled and attempted to pull covers over her head but found there were no covers. Too weak to look for some she turned over, hoping to fall back to sleep. Her hopes of sleep were dashed when she saw Ash lying peacefully on his back looking innocent. "How can he be so cute while lying there and such a jerk when he's awake?" she mused to herself. "So much for falling back to sleep." She rolled her eyes and swung her legs over the side of the bed.
Ash had actually been awake for quite some time, listening to Michi's even rhythmic breathing. He looking at her pale face, longing to touch the smooth skin within his reach. He forbade himself to touch her, knowing that one little touch would awaken memories within him that should stay asleep forever.
Michi stood on shaky legs at the edge of the bed, holding on to a bedpost. Her knees felt weak and her muscles screamed in protest of her every move; even breathing hurt. Slowly she managed to get into a pattern of putting one foot in front of the other. The room swirled around her at an incredible rate; the floor sloped impossibly. Her vision began to blur again from lack of eating regularly. Her knees buckled under her and she felt herself fall, to her the ground seemed millions of miles away. Suddenly her descent stopped, arms picked her up. Again the life giving liquid filled her mouth; she gulped it down without savoring its taste. "That's enough Michi," a voice echoed somewhere. She couldn't stop: the urge to keep drinking was overwhelming her. The voice repeated, more frightened this time.
Somehow out of a miraculous wish she stopped. Sleep didn't claim her, it seemed to taunt her. Her vision cleared and when Michi could see again, she could see Ash clutching his wrist to his broad chest. "I'm sorry," she uttered in a whisper realizing what she'd done. Acting on impulse she reached out to help him, her fingers collided gently with soft warm flesh. She pulled his injured arm towards herself, lying down on her lap. Two deep incisions could be seen in the soft flesh on his vein. "I'm sorry, I should have had more control over my impulse," she said. She raised her left wrist and scratched a deep gash in her skin, scarlet red blood welled up on the cut. With a tentative finger she put a drop on the index finger of her right hand. She touched her finger to Ash's hurt wrist; the skin healed itself under her finger's touch.
"It's okay, I know you didn't mean it." He tried to comfort her.
"No, it's not okay. I should have been able to control myself," she contradicted him.
"You didn't mean it, I know you didn't." He attempted to console her, he put his hand on her arm.
"No, don't you see? If it happens once, it could happen again." Her voice showed the fear she felt. Her blue eyes searched his for consolation.
"Michi, you couldn't have helped it." He tried to reason with her, he put his hands on her shoulders to help talk some sense into her.
"STOP TRYING TO TELL ME IT WASN'T MY FAULT!" she hollered abruptly. "It WAS my fault, I could have killed you if I had taken too much!" She tore away from his grasp and ran to the corner of the room with the paupasan chair in it. Arms held stretched in front in her, she opened a portal.
Ash, in fear of Michi's health, jumped after her but to no avail. His legs got tangled in some sheets, sending him sprawling to the floor. "Michi wait!"he yelled after her.
The frightened woman jumped headfirst into the portal, not once looking back.

Feathers drifted aimlessly down to the carpeted floor. In the midst of the falling feathers Timara sat, her hair was in complete and utter disarray. Around her, eight Senshi and one man were waiting in earnest to ambush the purple haired woman in hopes of leaving the cramped apartment. To them Timara was the only thing stopping them from getting some much needed fresh air.
"Release your force field from the door or we'll whap you again," threatened Haruka from behind a chair.
"It's too dangerous to go outside!" protested a beaten Timara. "Ohhh, how I wish Michi was here to do something about this stupid mutiny!" she thought to herself.
As if in reply to Timara's wish a portal opened in the corner of the room, but Michi wasn't the one to step out: it was a tall woman with light and dark blue striped hair. Garbed in a traditional scarlet red Japanese dress, she stood about five-foot-six. Her hair was arranged so that half of it was sea blue and tied up in a purple clip. The other half was left to hang to just above the back of her knees. Another small piece of hair was tied up with another purple clip on the left side of her face. The red dress showed her perfect curves along with great legs. Her gray eyes sparkled with hatred as she spoke for the first time.
"Hello Senshi, and welcome to your death!" She let loose a blast of purple fire at the exposed Senshi. She laughed maniacally as she blasted Michiru in the leg, leaving her helpless to escape the next inevitable attack.
Haruka, seeing no other way to save her lover, threw herself in front of the next blast, catching it in her lower back. Her scream echoed in the ears of all who heard it. Her limp body landed on Michiru who cried at the sight that had just unfolded before her sea green eyes. "Ruka-chan?" she spoke softly using her partner's pet name.
A small moan escaped a pair of unmoving lips. "Ruka-chan?" she said more hopefully. Silence. "Ruka-chan? RUKA-CHAN!" she screamed.
