Officer Gaylyn closed the door and began. "Fairly early this morning at around 9:00am, an officer discovered a break in the roadside fencing on the highway near the cliffs. When she looked over the railing she discovered the charred remains of the 1993 navy blue Toyota Camry. Three bodies were pulled from the wreckage. They were charred to a crisp. It was hard to tell at first but they are definitely the remains of your family. I'm sorry" he finished.

Usagi fell to her knees. Tears streamed down her once joyful face.

With each falling tear her crescent moon began to glow brighter. When the light of the crescent moon had engulfed the room, Usagi's clothes melted into her royal gown. The surroundings began to morph into the remains of a once glorious castle.

When officer Gaylyn looked he discovered that his surroundings had changed drastically.

The girl that had been weeping at his feet now stood with her companion.

"Why is it always me? Why must they always die? WHY?" She spoke in a quiet voice. A voice with respect.

Officer Gaylyn could say nothing. Something deep inside him told him to stay silent.

The surroundings mutated again back to the small rabbit hutch he had entered to bear his terrible news.

Everything was as it was before except for the girl. She hadn't changed back.

Usagi stood staring into space. She blinked and then closed her eyes. Her body became limp. Her legs gave out from under her and she slumped to the floor unconscious.

"I think you'd better leave now," said the young man who had been standing silently.

Officer Gaylyn nodded and let himself out.

Mamoru gently picked his love off the floor.

Carefully he made his way to the sofa. He laid Usagi on the sofa with her head on his lap.

He stroked her hair. It was smooth as silk. It smelled like roses.

Usagi moaned. Her eyes fluttered open.

The first thing she saw was Mamoru's caring green eyes.

Usagi struggled to sit up. A wave of dizziness forced her to lie down again.

A moment of silence passed while they looked into each other's eyes.

Usagi sat up with the help of Mamoru. She laid her head on his chest, listening to his heart beat.

"Why now? Why did they have to die? Queen Serenity promised it would be different here. Why did she lie to us? To me?" Fresh tears sprang to the princess' eyes.

"I don't know, Queen Serenity always had mysterious ways of making things happen." Mamoru hugged the weeping woman.

Usagi's tears rolled down her cheeks. She couldn't contain her anger. She stood up.

"This is all your fault, Mamoru. If only I hadn't gone on that stupid date with you. I could have gone with my family, maybe they would have lived if I was there!" She screamed her feelings at Mamoru.

Her words stung Mamoru like thousands of pieces of glass falling down on him. Deep down he knew that she didn't mean it.

Usagi's mind was clouded by her pain, she shouted things that she knew weren't true to Mamoru

"Get out, leave me alone!" she yelled as she ran upstairs to her room. She collapsed on her bed sobbing hysterically.

Mamoru knew she shouldn't be alone at a time like this. He picked up the phone and dialed Makoto's number. He got her machine: "Hiya it's Kino-san and I can't come to the phone at this moment, so leave a message at the tone and I'll get back to you shortly. BEEP."

Mamoru replaced the receiver and decided to try to talk to Usagi. He found her in her room. Carefully he sat down beside her, "Usagi, do you want to talk about it?" he started, not sure of what to say to her.

"Beep, Beep, Beep." It was Usagi's communicator. "Usagi, come quick to the Starlight Tower, we need Sailor Moon."

Jupiter's voice sounded strained. Sounds from a fight in the background could be heard.

"I'm on my way Jupiter!" Usagi ended the communication.

"You're in no condition to fight, you should stay here. I'll go help the Senshi," volunteered Mamoru. Concern was written all over his face.

"No, I'm going!" she replied stubbornly.

"Okay, but please be careful." He reluctantly agreed to let her go.

"Mamoru, I'm sorry for what I said earlier about this being your fault " she whispered softly.

"Did you find any others?" questioned Queen Nexus.

"Yesssss, I found sssssome otherssss. They are waiting to sssssssssee you, my Queen." The lizard-like creature motioned.

"Enter, all who wish to survive and mutilate the pesky Sailor girls!" Her elegant voice ricocheted off the walls.

A group of about 300 entered the throne room. Though they could see her shadow on the floor they couldn't see her face; the shadows took care of that. Most of the survivors were extremely powerful and could take out the Queen with ease.

The Queen stood up. "It is the Senshi's fault that we are trapped in here. In approximately 3.8256 days this dimension will collapse, killing us all. But I have a way to escape and avenge Beryl's death."

"Prove it!" Some of the survivors shouted.

Queen Nexus stared at one of the pillars in the room holding the roof up. Black ice began to wrap itself around the pillar. With a snap of her fingers the pillar crumbled into dust. Silence crept over the crowd. Slowly one by one the remaining youma got down on their knees in a sign of respect for their new queen.
