Dr. John Waddell

Dr. John Waddell

Born 19 Sep 1858 at Truro NS.

He was living in Dartmouth at the 1881 census, possibly attending university. Subsequently he moved to Kingston ON and began teaching at Royal Military College.

Married Annie Maud Burrows (1862-1948) on 24 June 1891 at Kingston ON.

At the 1901 census, John and his family were boarding with a family by the name of King in Kingston. John's occupation was a professor of chemistry.

By the 1911 census they had moved in to a large home at 132 Earl St, Kingston.

John died 05 Jan 1923 at Kingston ON. He and his wife are buried at the Cataraqui Cemetery in Kingston.

    Married Dr. Richard Cargill at Ottawa

    Gwen, as she was known, travelled a great deal. She lived in London, England with her husband while he was training in gynecology at the Queen Charlotte Hospital during the 1920s. Dr. Cargill set up a practise in Ottawa upon their return to Canada. They had no children, and divorced in the early 1930s.
